I am pretty disappointed with this time. I guess I can’t complain to much about it because it was a sub two minute isabel, but still I know I am capable of a 1:30 right now. My first 15 reps were unbroken then 4 then 2 & 2 and then singles(rep 29 & 30 were connected). I ran out of gas, which I mostly attribute to the change in diet this week and lack of sleep. I have no doubt then when I do this again a sub 1:30 is possible!

Notes-
My diet was strong all day until last night when I went out. But this was a choice not an urge or reward. I decided early in the day that I was going to eat some taco’s last night and they were good! The beer wasn’t all bad either :)

2009 CrossFit Ventura Affiliate Team
I am so excited for the 2010 CrossFit Games! Last year I had an amazing experience competing with CFV team, but the growth of CrossFit and the games itself has changed many things, and this year will be very different. This year the affiliate teams will have to qualify for the games at the regionals in May, thus adding another layer of competition and complexion for me.
My goal is to go as far as I can as an individual competitor. So I will be competing at the sectionals in March, where the top 20 men and women will then qualify for the regionals in May, the same competition where the team will be qualifying. If I am able to get myself into one of those 20 spots and qualify for the regionals I would be crazy not to compete. Even though only 4 people out of the 60 men who qualify will be able to go to the games in Aromas from the regional. But if I qualify for the sectionals and choose to take my chances at the regionals I will be then choosing to give up a spot on the affiliate team.
Thus the question must be asked do I honestly think I have a shot at making it as an individual if I qualify for the regionals? Right now hell no, in 6 months... maybe?
Time will tell me a lot I hope, but the thought of not competing in some form at the games in 2010 frustrates me. There will be some hard decisions to make in the coming months.
