Day 95 “Grace”
Weighed in at 234lbs tonight!
Deadlift 3-3-3
405-435-475(f3) (PR)
Failed at 475 on the 3rd rep. This was a 10 pound jump for me and I must admit that I was not very focused on deadlifts tonight. It was all about my date with Grace!
Grace 1:44 (almost a 4 minute PR)
I have been looking forward to doing Grace for so long. Grace was my first benchmark wod way back in May; back when I had absolutely no idea what crossfit was all about. Staring at my time of 5 something for the last 5 months has bugged the shit out of me! When I found out that it was Grace today shit got real!
My game plan for the wod was simple... I didn’t have one! Just go balls to the wall until you hit 30! No excuses and no stopping... my goal was sub 2!
I started solid and did my first 15 reps unbroken in about 36 seconds. Then I developed a cramp in my right calf for some reason... I never cramp. About that time Huff and Brandon came over and took over the counting (great coaching I needed a counter, thank you Huff). I knew I couldn’t stop, so I tried to stretch it out on rep 17, I think, and I had a really bad or should I say hideous looking rep. After that I just dealt with the pain until it was over.
When I realized that I went sub 2 the pain disappeared and I was jacked! I was so fired up and focused for this wod that I should have done another wod afterwards cuz I am going to be jacked up all night! I was prepared to play a football game, but the game only last 1:44...
A big shout out to CFV for all of the support over the last 5 months... and a special thanks to Colin & Huff for everything that you guys do! Your dedication to the sport of crossfit and the quality of coaching you provide is an inspiration in itself! Thank You
